Sport-X is the Data Space for sports: every Participant keeps its data, every exchange leaves verifiable proof

Sport-X starts in Italian volleyball. Opiquad operates the Data Space. nexyo provides the infrastructure: each Participant gets its own Data Hub (nexyo fabric).

  • 13use cases, 8 of them with real candidates
  • 14roles in the ecosystem
  • 2countries on the roadmap: Italy in 2026, Germany from 2027

Valuable sports data sits in silos, and sharing means giving up control

Leagues, clubs, arenas, sponsors, and cities hold data that is worth more together. Each one runs its own system. To share, they send files and lose track of them.

Three sets of rules now apply to sports at once: the Data Act (since September 2025), the AI Act, and the GDPR. To comply, you need governance that you can prove.

Every Participant keeps its data

One Data Hub per Participant, one rulebook, one operator: the data stays in the systems of the Participants. At the top of the image sits SportOS, the club app by Opiquad. Enlarge: Every Participant keeps its data

Three promises apply to every Participant

  • Your data stays with you

The Data Hub points to your sources. It does not copy data into a central platform.

  • Your rules apply as a Policy

For each Offer, you decide who may use your data and for what purpose. The system checks every request before it releases data.

  • Every exchange leaves proof

Data Provider and Data Consumer each receive a Credential and an entry in the Audit Trail. Both sides can verify the exchange.

Three use cases start the pilot

  • Venue file

Stage 1: pilot from November 2026

A league with about 80 venues saves an estimated 80 to 160 hours of checking per season.

  • Sponsorship proof

Stage 1: pilot from November 2026

One data package replaces an ESG questionnaire per sponsor and saves an estimated 4 to 8 hours.

  • Match-day reconciliation

Stage 1: pilot from November 2026

The club saves an estimated 1 to 2 hours of reconciliation per home match.

Sport-X is in the setup phase: real Participants join from November 2026

Today, no real Participant uses the Data Space yet. All demos so far run with synthetic data.

The pilot starts in November 2026 with five real Participants. By December 18, 2026, the Data Space grows to twelve Participants. The goal for 2027 is more than 25 letters of intent.

You find the full schedule on the roadmap page.

The demo explorer shows what an exchange looks like, with synthetic data

In the demo explorer, you can follow Offers, Policies, and proofs in one continuous example. All data there is synthetic. No real data flows.
